{Chicken Chow Mein}

“Chow Mein” means simple stir fried noodles. This recipe can be easily anytime at home with adding favorite meat and vegetables of choice. It has unique taste and is full of aroma.

Serves 3-4

Preparation Time: 30 Minutes
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients:

•Chicken (Cut into strips) 6 oz
•Garlic (finely chopped) 1 tbsp
•Scallions (chopped) 4-5
•Button mushrooms (sliced) 4 oz
•Onion (julienne) half cup
•Salt ½ tsp
•Chicken stock 6 tbsp
•Oil 4 tbsp
•Sugar 1 tsp
•Rice wine tbsp
•Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
•Spaghetti (broken) 8 oz

Method:

Boil spaghetti in salted water until just soft. Do not over boil.
Sieve and rinse under cold water. Then put some oil over it to prevent from
sticking.
In a wok heat oil and put garlic paste and fry.
Add onions, fry until transparent.
Now add chicken and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Add mushrooms also. Continue sauté.
Sprinkle soya sauce, salt, sugar and rice wine.
Cook until this mixture is almost dry.
Add spaghetti and toss well.
Pour over the stock let it simmer until dry.
Garnish with some chopped scallions.
Serve hot with chili sauce.
